Earning a Canadian Sport Parachute Association (CSPA) Solo Certificate allows you to solo skydive without an instructor. Pacific Skydivers offers a ten jump program which trains you to become a self-supervised (Novice) skydiver and earn the Solo Certificate. This program is broken down into 3 sections.
1. First Jump Solo Course (with first solo skydive).
2. Progressive Freefall (PFF)
3. Completion jumps to finish the skills required for your CSPA Solo Certificate.
Pre-requisite:
Solo course and 1 Instructor Assisted Deployment (IAD)
jump.
PFF is a 5-level, self-paced program. Skydives are made from 10,000 or 12,500 feet depending on aircraft. Each lesson includes pre-jump instruction, gear rental, one skydive with canopy coaching and a de-brief of your jump. The goals for each level are clearly defined and thoroughly practiced on the ground. For best results you should plan to complete 2 PFF jumps per day and complete the program within one month.
All PFF instructors are CSPA trained and certified and hold a certified Coaching Association of Canada Coach 2 rating.
(NOTE: PFF skydives require students to perform life saving skills in a fast paced, high stress environment.)
